The Independent Schools Council

...is suggesting that private school parents request shielding on ContactPoint for their children. They are likely to find that they are not the only ones. Home Educators are also concerned about data reliability and security.

I'm concerned but don't want to draw dd to the attention of the LA since they don't yet seem to know that she exists.

Yes...am thinking it might be more sensible to request shielding after it becomes clear that one's details have already been uploaded.
