If you want to add any of these points there you would be very welcome.Danihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02948665818523238498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11652148.post-1169284129197824002007-01-20T09:08:00.000+00:002007-01-20T09:08:00.000+00:00Dear Leo...and any other HEors,Please do use/alter...Dear Leo...and any other HEors,

Please do use/alter and send off to anyone you can think of too!

My hope is that the sense of community that HEors have will help protect the more vulnerable members: For example, with all of us making the case against intrusion, and as happens now, with say EO local contacts going along to meetings with HEing families, acting as best judge witnesses to the efficacy of the education provided.

(I do think HEors the best judge of this...after watching two of my best mates doing the PGCE, I know how garbled the state's version of theories of knowledge and knowledge acquisition really is!)Carlottahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12686469871331093679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11652148.post-1169282179980654912007-01-20T08:36:00.000+00:002007-01-20T08:36:00.000+00:00Very well argued! A middle class family is not likely to have any problems. If they do, they can hire a good lawyer. It's not those people they are after.

Who they are after are people without any power. People that do not fit the ideologies of those in power and not raising the national standard. Lower class families that live on benefits and cannot hire good lawyers (or are friends with any!). People a judge would never take seriously. So when you use the argument that home-educators don't cost the taxpayers any money it's not exactly true.

Perhaps you could rephrase it to say that, by not using the public school system, home-educators in average cost the tax payer much less?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
