Brilliant article! Instantly struck by the comment that 'freedom' in our society means 'conformity' - as have literally only just read that in The Fountainhead.

Have Atlas Shrugged just here. Will give it another go. It was Rand's objectivism which struck me as wrong-headed, but novels perhaps deserve another look...
ReplyDeleteI don't think that Atlast Shrugged is as good or as easy a read as The Fountainhead, so you might be struggling if you already didn't like the latter!
