home education is over now for us as son is going to college in September had no problem geting him in to the college and he is going to study media/film course plus maths IT course the college was quite inpressed with the home education we had done and son did interview on his own with the college! maybe all those trips meeting different people over the years hepled more than we realized!
Great to hear Anon...though the end of an era and sad in some ways, perhaps? DS is probably going to embark on college next year...but already just seems so ready and the college so amenable. The staff spoke to the HE kids who visited in a respectful way. I left DS and his friend whilst I slipped into the philosophy dept. Went back out to look for them about 20 mins later, and they were still talking to the physics teacher. I was so impressed as they spoke as equals. The teacher wasn't in the least patronising, and DS left saying he def wants to do the sciences.
yes it will be an end of era i wonder wahat i do with all my spare time from september. i will miss him loads when he goes but he ready for college. Gald to hear your daughter going to go to college. What ever life brings us/children home education was the right thing im 100% sure of it my mum now sort of agrees and that is saying something!

He should follow up and attempt to get a reply
